Privacy Policy

The short version

Reflekt keeps your diary on your iPhone. We don't run accounts, we don't show ads, and we don't sell or share your data. The only thing that may leave your device is the text of a conversation, and only so the AI can answer you.

Your entries

Reflections, conversations, diary notes, the emotions you pick and your mood are stored locally on your device. We don't keep a copy on our servers. If you delete an entry, use Clear data in Settings, or delete the app, that data is gone.

Conversations with the AI

When you send a message in a conversation, its text and the earlier messages of that conversation are sent over an encrypted connection to our server and passed to an AI service (OpenAI) to write a reply. We don't store these messages after the reply is returned, and under OpenAI's API terms they are not used to train models. OpenAI may keep them for a limited time to detect abuse, as described in its own privacy policy.

On devices with Apple Intelligence enabled, conversations in languages it supports are processed entirely on your device instead, so they never leave your iPhone.

Notes written in the Diary tab are never sent to the AI.

App integrity check

To protect the service from abuse, the app uses Apple's App Attest to prove to our server that requests come from a genuine copy of Reflekt. This stores an anonymous device key on our server; it contains no personal information and is not linked to you.

Apple Health

If you turn it on, Reflekt writes each reflection to Apple Health as Mindful Minutes. Reflekt does not read any data from Apple Health. Health data is never sent to us or used for advertising.

Reminders & Face ID

Daily reminders are scheduled locally on your device. Face ID or your passcode is checked by iOS; Reflekt never sees your biometric data.

Purchases

Reflekt Premium is processed by Apple. We receive no payment details — only an anonymous receipt that unlocks Premium.

Analytics & tracking

The app contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.

Children

Reflekt is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
