Privacy Policy

The short version

Silk Road does not collect anything. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party trackers. The app makes no network requests of its own — everything you do stays on your iPhone.

What stays on your device

Your practice history, streaks, total minutes, rank, chosen guide voice, language and reminder settings are stored locally on your iPhone. We never see them. If you delete the app, they are deleted with it.

Audio and video

Sessions are audio and video files. The app never uses your microphone or camera and has no permission to do so. Free sessions ship inside the app; paid ones are downloaded from Apple's servers using On-Demand Resources when you open them. That download is handled by Apple, not by us, and once a session is on your device it plays without a connection.

Notifications

If you turn on a daily reminder, the notification is scheduled locally on your device by iOS. Nothing is sent to us, and no push server is involved. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details and no personal information — the app only asks Apple whether an active subscription exists, which is checked on your device. Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction.

Children

Silk Road is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.

Health disclaimer

Silk Road is a relaxation app, not a medical device or a treatment. The "When It Hits" session is there to help you sit through a difficult few minutes; it is not emergency care. If panic attacks, anxiety or insomnia keep happening, please talk to a doctor.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
